Agilyx announces recycled monomer food contact packaging

Agilyx

Agilyx Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Agilyx AS (Euronext Growth (Oslo): AGLX) and a pioneer in the chemical recycling of post-use plastics, announced today that recycled styrene monomer produced in its ISCC PLUS certified chemical recycling facility in Tigard, USA, has been successfully used for the manufacture of yogurt pots which are now on shelves in Europe.

Agilyx chemical recycling technology converts post-use polystyrene waste to its chemical building blocks, enabling new, virgin-quality plastics to be manufactured again and again. This recycled styrene monomer is now being used in the production of recycled polystyrene (rPS) for food contact applications, resulting in a global food manufacturer producing the first rPS yogurt pot in Europe.
