Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen of Infrastructure and Public Works expects subsidizing the chemical recycling of plastics to lead to an emission reduction of at least 1 Mton in 2030.
The Minister writes this in response to questions from MPs about the bill for an amendment to the budget statement of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works. The proposed amendment is related to the Incidental Supplementary Budget of the Climate Envelope from the coalition agreement. This shows that the government wants to stimulate chemical recycling, among other things.
