ReNew ELP awards px Group O&M Contract Plastic Recycling Plant

ReNew ELP, a subsidiary of Mura Technology Limited (Mura) have awarded px Group – the owner of Saltend Chemicals Park and operator of several critical energy infrastructure sites in the UK – a 10-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract at the world’s first commercial scale plastic recycling plant.

Based at the Wilton International site, in Teesside, North East England, is on track to be operational in 2023 and will use Mura’s proprietary HydroPRSTM technology platform to chemically recycle end-of-life plastic.

Initially, ReNew ELP will work in unity with px Group to process over 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic each year, during phase 1 of operations. The site has further scope for an additional three lines, which would take the processing capacity to over 80,000 tonnes per year.
