Chemical recycling is the new buzzword we keep hearing from different stakeholders, being them industry, policy officers or concerned activists.
Zero Waste Europe has recently released a study to share some light into the topic. With the webinar on November 12th, they move a step further in trying to understand what we refer to when we say chemical recycling, what are its pro and cons and if it could fit into a circular economy.
The speakers represent three different angles in the discussion: the industry already testing chemical recycling, the European Commission Directorate General for Environment working on waste management and the environmental NGO sector evaluating chemical recycling suitability for a circular economy.
